An Advanced Management Alumni from The Wharton School of Business, 001 President and Founder Kent Moyer has taken the most vital components from his experiences studying “The Luxury Strategy” by J.N. Kapferer and V. Bastien, along with an intensive course entitled “Strategic Management of Luxury Businesses” at Wharton, during which he spent time at the prestigious Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy, to create a comprehensive, customized security program for high-profile individuals. Currently ranked 7th in the world for business and management studies, The Bocconi School offers a firsthand, in-depth look into the operations of some of the highest esteemed luxury brands like Ferrari, Bulgari, Pagani, Chopard and Moschino.
In Germany, Milan & New York, Kent Moyer began to understand the inner workings of companies like Tiffany’s and Porsche, gaining an inside view into their operations with technology and practices with e-commerce. Receiving a 360° view of each company, Kent was able to take note of those elements, which proved pivotal in creating a strong foundation for each luxury brand and bring them home to the States.

001 President and Founder Kent Moyer started out in the Executive Protection Industry working for Playboy Enterprises, protecting Hugh Hefner and his family. His next job was working for Vance International under the former Director and two Deputy Directors of the U.S. Secret Service, where he gained further knowledge to expand upon his education in formal Executive Protection training.
Having received degrees from most Executive Protection and Intelligence schools, including Vance International Secret Service Based Training, U.S. Secret Service Training, Executive Security Int. & Executive Protection Institute and CA Department of Justice Dignitary Protection, Mr. Moyer is also a graduate of Los Angeles and Orange County Sheriff Academies and the National Law Enforcement Training Center, credentialed as an FBI, DOJ, and NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. Building upon this experience, Kent Moyer became the Director of Security of a Beverly Hills Entertainment Company, while managing hundreds of threat cases worldwide.
In 2001, he started The World Protection Group, with headquarters in Beverly Hills. With 25 partners all over the world, WPG became a recognized International Company. In 2007, Mr. Moyer graduated from The Advanced Management Program at The Wharton Business School, at University of Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, he studied at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy and The Wharton School of Business – Strategic Management of Luxury Businesses. While in Germany & Italy, Mr. Moyer studied the luxury businesses of Porsche, Mercedes, Bulgari, Chopard, Pagani, Ferrari, Tiffany and many other luxury brands.
Studying a service culture of excellence and memorable customer service, Mr. Moyer partook in a 3-day Executive Education Training, which included the study of excellence in service culture, Gold Standards, talent management, engaging the workforce, accountability for success, and enhancing business excellence at the Ritz Carlton Leadership Center.
Kent has also written training modules for both Orange County and Los Angeles County Diplomatic Protection Units and supervised their training. As an active author and speaker, Mr. Moyer enjoys reading books on business and flying airplanes, when he is not speaking at Leadership Conferences across the globe.
